On the Up and Up

On the Up and Up

When it comes to recruitment, our strategy is to attract, train and retain. This is applied to all employment levels, from university students seeking a placement, all the way to experienced engineers in search of bigger challenges. To aid this, OSL is a Bronze Corporate Partner of the IChemE and makes use of its Accredited Company Training Scheme to the full, helping our team members to access the resources they require to step up the career ladder. We also work with the IMechE and various other engineering institutes and industry bodies, as well as universities across the UK, to provide proactive and valuable opportunities.

Vocational advancements are all part of our shared goal at OSL House, and in recent weeks we’ve celebrated a round of promotions. This news reflects a strong understanding and employment of our philosophy of Clever Thinking™ in order to achieve and excel:

  • Jonny Elvidge, promoted from Graduate to Associate Process Engineer
  • Daniela De Sousa Parisi, promoted from Associate to Process Engineer
  • Daniel Peary, promoted from Associate to Mechanical Engineer
  • Lee George, promoted from Quality Coordinator to Quality Manager

We believe that growing and enhancing skills is essential to every role, as it not only gives team members powerful motivation and a clear target, but also benefits our clients. With engineers, planners, managers, designers and administrators working to the highest standards and perpetually expanding their skill set, every project we take on is allocated a superior team of multidiscipline professionals from conception to delivery.

“We’re delighted about this round of promotions, and congratulations to Jonny, Daniela and Daniel who have all taken a major step towards chartership,” said Operations Manager Neil Barnard. “And in recognition of his efforts in constantly improving our quality management system, Lee has been promoted to Quality Manager. Everyone continues to work hard in delivering quality solutions for our customers and also to improve their own skill set; these promotions are indicative of their achievement and OSL’s support in helping them achieve their goals.”

The team continues to develop knowledge and expertise even further by tackling increasingly detailed projects, attending energy sector talks and events, taking part in group training schemes, and adopting individual development plans. It’s all part of OSL’s dedication to creating smart, effective and sustainable energy solutions.
