A Growing Network for LNG Solutions

This year’s LNG Congress took place from 14-15 March at the Royal Garden Hotel in London. The prestigious event drew experts from across the world, focusing on the market’s current status and how stakeholders can make a difference to the LNG sector, especially through small scale projects.

The two-day conference presented thirty speakers from the global LNG market, including Kwinten Standaert, Member of the GLE Small-Scale LNG Work Group, David Graebe, Head of Gas for Transport at GAZPROM Germania GmbH, and Karrie Trauth, Technical Shipping Manager for LNG Marine Fuel Projects at Shell Shipping. Joining them to share key insight and examples of practical application was OSL’s Principal Director Alastair Robertson, with his talk entitled “How to Provide Small Scale Affordable Energy”.

Meanwhile, Richard Drake, Head of Business Development, chaired one of the round table sessions as well as managing OSL’s stand. With around 140 industry professionals in attendance, it was the perfect opportunity for us to showcase our experience and capabilities in the LNG market, including technical assessments, feasibility studies, detailed engineering and the planning of comprehensive details where a Final Investment Decision is required to complete the project. We’re delighted to report that our portfolio of LNG case studies proved very popular with guests, which are also available to view on our Issuu channel.

As expected, we made some valuable contacts at this event, some of which we hope to develop into working relationships through collaborative LNG projects. Many of these partnerships cross international borders, further broadening our implementation of Clever Thinking to the worldwide energy sector.
